Achievement at the 2024 Student Science Study Group Conference at the Faculty of Science and Informatics

The 2024 Spring Local Conference of the Student Science Study Group of the Faculty of Science and Informatics was held on May 7, 2024 at the Institute of Biology. Our Department was represented by Krisztián Vinga, a first-year MSc student in Biology, whose presentation was awarded first prize in the Biology III (Neurobiology) section. Congratulations to the student and his supervisors!

Korányi Frigyes Scientific Forum 2024

Presentations at the 28th Korányi Frigyes Scientific Forum

The 28th Korányi Frigyes Scientific Forum took place between 9-10 April 2024 at Semmelweis University, in the Korányi Frigyes College. As in previous years, the conference provided an opportunity for medical, dental and pharmacy students to present their research. Our Department was represented by Alexandra Gráczer, Péter Kozák and Anna Zsigmond, who were awarded two second prizes in the Radiology and Neurosciences sections. Congratulations to the winners!

György Romhányi Conference 2024

Presentations at the second György Romhányi Conference

The 2nd György Romhányi Conference at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pécs took place on 1-3 March, 2024. Our Department was represented by four students of the Student Science Study Group, Mihály Erős, Alexandra Gráczer, Péter Kozák and Anna Zsigmond. Alexandra Gráczer's presentation was awarded 3rd prize and the special prize of the Hungarian Gerontological and Geriatric Society. Congratulations for the achievement!

VIATRIS TDK Excellence Scholarship

With the support of VIATRIS Healthcare Ltd., the TDK Council of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School announced an open call for the VIATRIS TDK Excellence Scholarship. We are proud that three of our TDK students have received the scholarship! Péter Kozák was awarded the Gold category, Alexandra Gráczer the Silver category and Anna Zsigmond the Bronze category. Congratulations to our Viatris TDK Scholarship winners!

Participation at the Conference of the European Society for Microcirculation

The biannual international conference of of the European Society for Microcirculation (ESM). Dr. Szilvia Kecskés and Dr. Eszter Farkas, members of the HCEMM-USZ Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism Research Group contributed to the meeting. Dr. Eszter Farkas is a member of the Strategy Committee of ESM. Our application to organize the next ESM meeting in 2025 in Szeged, Hungary was supported by the Board of ESM. We are looking forward to the ESM conference in Szeged in 2025!
